Paul Sharp


Paul is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Health Sciences at the University of New South Wales. His research studies the influence of sociocultural and gender-related factors on men’s health and health-related behaviours. He holds a BHK, MSc and PhD along with he has published over 35 peer-reviewed papers. His work has influenced the design, delivery and evaluation of men’s health promotion programs internationally. He is currently leading a research project exploring men’s social connection and peer support for mental health challenges. Findings from this research will be used to inform the development of an online resource to encourage and support men to engage in peer support and mutual help for mental health challenges.
