Summary of Responsibilities

Join CMHF in Changing the Story for Young Men’s Mental Health

Are you energized by the idea of turning evidence into action, shaping programs that genuinely resonate with young people, and helping drive meaningful change across Canada? At the Canadian Men’s Health Foundation (CMHF), we’re on a mission to support the mental health and well-being of boys and young men and we’re looking for a Program Manager who is ready to bring that mission to life.

The Canadian Men’s Health Foundation is the trusted voice of men’s health, encouraging accountability, inspiring action and saving lives. We connect with men and their families by using our unique evidence-based research to create proven programs and powerful stories. We provide expert-backed, stigma-free resources which prevent illness and strengthen families, workplaces, and communities across Canada.

This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic, creative, and impact-minded professional who thrives at the intersection of research, youth engagement, and program delivery.

Role Overview

The Program Manager leads the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of programs designed to support young men aged 12-29. You’ll act as a bridge between research and real-world programming – transforming insights into accessible, relatable tools, digital content, and program experiences.

Working closely with both our Research and Marketing & Communications teams, as well as community partners, and youth themselves, you’ll help ensure our work remains evidence-based, engaging, culturally relevant, and grounded in lived experience. You’ll also play a key role in monitoring impact, supporting government-funded initiatives, and strengthening partnerships across Canada.

Key Responsibilities

Program Development & Delivery

  • Lead the design, implementation, and evolution of mental health programs by developing clear plans and performance tools, translating research into practical youth-friendly resources, and supporting programming that also benefits kids, women, and families across CMHF’s broader ecosystem.

Impact Measurement, Data Analytics & Reporting

  • Drive impact measurement by leading evaluation activities, developing KPIs and dashboards, producing clear performance reports, supporting government-funded reporting and evidence tracking, and ensuring SGBA+ and culturally relevant approaches are embedded throughout.

Research Integration & Knowledge Mobilization

  • Bridge research and practice by collaborating with partners to ensure evidence-based, youth-relevant program content, shaping research to meet real-world needs, and translating insights into accessible campaigns, digital tools, and data-informed recommendations for creative development.

Interest holder Coordination & Partnerships

  • Activate and expand programs by collaborating with internal teams, community partners, and external experts, coordinating advisory committees and youth engagement, and building meaningful, SGBA+-aligned relationships with Indigenous, gender-diverse, and equity-deserving communities.

Who You Are

You’re a collaborative, resourceful, and purpose-driven professional who cares deeply about improving mental health outcomes for young people. You’re energized by turning ideas into action, balancing creativity with structure, and working across teams to build something that truly matters. You love both the “big picture” and the details – and you’re just as comfortable analyzing data as you are workshopping new program concepts.

Qualifications

  • Background in social sciences, communications, public health, education, mental health, or a related field.
  • Experience in program development, youth engagement, or community health. Recent experience with digital engagement strategies is an asset.
  • Demonstrated skill in program data analysis, performance measurement, or research coordination.
  • Experience supporting government-funded projects (reporting, compliance, documentation) is highly desired.
  • Ability to translate research into practical, engaging content.
  • Experience working with Indigenous, gender-diverse, or equity-deserving communities is an asset.
  • Highly organized, collaborative, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • French language proficiency is an asset.
